Lol you don't get to choose the projects you want. HR will do it for you based on your skills and openings. Even then you need to be interviewed by the project people. Of course you can decline the projects but as long as you don't get any, you don't start work, zero $$$
You only choose projects (freely) after you finished your 1st stint.
