Hi. I just accepted offer for Business & Integration Arch Analyst for the tech analyst program.
This role need to code or not? I have little coding background only did a 101 mod in Uni!!!
How?? I very worried if ask to do code!!!

Confirm. Have to code la.

Cannor be analyst and know nothing at all

Intiallu they will assign you some simple task. Like this module need to send out email. Ask you to do. Or ifthe email didn't sentojt, ask you to diagnose the problem..

Or if need to change the email structure. Ask you to edit the html or change the. Code that produce the email la...later when you more exp they will ask you to design the email...

Which you can just copy and paste from existing project la.
Then customer want to add new report. Ask you
You analyse take how long to do. Is it doable..
Then you do? Change the databse. Sql. Stored prco. Or entity frmarowkr. Change the crystal report etc.

Very easy one la.
Don't worry. Can Google one.

But I ask in interview how much programming knowledge is required.
She said no need. Need me to manage the prokect through the sit, UAT phase etc.

I assume I just test the code working or not.
I don't actually fix the code right?

Like I just collect how many test case failed. How many pass. And just report back only right?
No need to find out why it failed and how to fix it right?

your role requires more of proj mgmt , and stringing things together according to schedule

Her staff overtime to finish the work. She also dunno lol.

Project manager just come office. Arrange meeting. Ask update.
Then prepare for meeting with client.
That's all.

Anything technical she will say I'll check with my guys and get back to you. Or ask them to get back to you
Then she will forward client request to you.

E.g client ask is it possible to also sent out notification via sms alert. She will forward to you ask you is it possible. Then you will say yes or not.
How to setup sms gateway? Which provider to use. Have you use any sms api.
Any existing project already got his feature?
Any company paid sms.. If don't have customer need to pay.
How much? Any security concern to setup...

All this you analyst need to know and provide.

Yep classic project management.
Anything they can hide under the excuse "ill check wirh my analysts"

But we as analyst cannot say "I'm not project management, so deadline can meet or not is not my problem."

Analyst "my problem is how to fix it. How long to fix. Can meet deadline or not. Is the PM taichi"
PM "everything is also your taichi. Overtime. Weekend figure out how to do. All analyst taichi."

But PM take the higher pay. Do the less work.
Everyone should be PM la.

This new generation all want to the analyst. Not sure why..
Tje previous generation all want to be manager. Cuasd manager get promoted.
Analyst stuck Foever.

Interviewer will say anything to get the candidate la.
Cause they also don't want to waste their time..

Like flexible hours la.
No overtime la.
Training course allowance la.
