And just to be clear, this pod thing doesn’t define your job scope. You can be under delivery lifecycle and still do change management.
What do you mean downstream? Means this pod not good or what?? And what’s cia and cm?

Do job scope depends on the exact title you hold right? Like example consulting development analyst or business and integration arch analyst? As all this roles can change in a project right?

Errr not your pod that brings you into the function, it’s the job title acn offer contract stated aka your acn job title. If your job title is consulting analyst then yes you’re align to S&C and will move on in this direction after the 3 years of TAP. If you’re business and integration arch analyst or other tech analyst, your job family is not consulting you won’t be in S&C, most probably under Technology or operations or security job family.

So more so of what pod you aim for, you should try to get offered consulting development analyst and you’re defo under S&C DTE, as for which pods will you be placed in, highly likely would be change management pod as they can build your foundation or basics for consulting there, of course you may be parked into other pods. But most importantly it’s the exact job role acn offers you that will determine where you belong in acn and what type of projects or roles will you be doing most of the time.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Does this mean that when I apply for the TAP, I can indicate my preference for the CM track? Also what type of projects and day-to-day work does CM entail? It's quite broad

Hi, what’s the difference between a consulting person in the Industry Consulting > Capital Markets versus a consulting person in Functional Consulting > T&O? Both are also under Strategy & Consulting stream and the latter seem to be more popular. notice from people profile and workday profiles that those specialising in industry consulting are typically holding Business Analysts and tech roles in project experiences, whereas those in T&O holds change lead, assurance or consulting, business strategy analyst, business analyst also have

Just to clear the misconception some people have…I myself am a management consultant under S&C in ACN. I joined 3 years ago as a consulting development analyst and started off in my first few projects as change practitioner, I do have one project that extended me with a business analyst role after I’m done with the change mgmt aspect. I do have joined projects holding business strategy analyst role as well. So in short, consulting isn’t just change management, it will be really dumb to think just that.
More so of your interest, what skills you have, there many who wants to do consulting but aren’t recruited or either leave halfway too.

Thanks for sharing. Am wondering what type of projects does S&C entail and any tips on how to break into S&C at ACN?

What’s the difference between the people from functional consulting and someone from industry consulting under S&C? What do they do and what are the tasks under their care? Currently a consulting senior analyst and honestly the projects I’m in the work I’m doing aren’t even near consulting. Don’t understand why tech is involved and we also need to know the test scripts and try out the testing. Is this cos it’s aligned to functional consulting? Then what do industry consulting people do then? So the management consulting in Accenture is not like those management consulting in MBB or tier 3? Is big 4 mgmt consulting same as acn too?

Most direct and easiest is you joined as a consulting development analyst. If not you try to switch later on will be extremely tough and a really Low chance.

Right joining as a consulting development analyst aka consulting analyst isn’t easy tbh. But if you really want to do consulting then you got to try to prep your resume and interview to get you a high possibility of getting the offer for consulting analyst instead of the other tech or software roles. Suggestion is to join as a consulting analyst so you can also build your basics and foundation in your first few years. If you want to hop over to S&C after a year or two in a non consulting role, direct answer is difficult and rarely possible.

But I’m a business and integration delivery analyst in BA pod tho, and my hr partner said we will go on to business integration specialist or something, like it depends on ultimately which dte you belong too
This priority portion is not true. BA pods analysts can be MCs as well if they are aligned to a particular service group eg banking, capital markets etc.
