12 years in service.
Came in with diploma in 2011.
Got emplaced in 2016 to GEO2 after completing my degree.
Got my GEO 3 in 2019.
I believed that after emplacement my progression will be on par with my degree holder counter parts however its demoralising to realise my CEP is tagged to my entry as a diploma holder. Feels hypocritical to tell students that there are so many paths now when in actual fact moe itself differentiates based on merit even if we are doing the same jobs.

You have a degree. It's not bad already, same pace as the rest of the degree farmers. Those with only DipEd, and start from GEO1, many left service long ago already. Doing the same work, but collecting only half the pay, and taking twice as long to promote. Really not a pleasant feeling.

Let me teach you easy way to know your CEP.
During open posting period, click to apply for position. Eg apply for any random SH position. If system says you can’t apply, means your CEP is at geo5. Your cep has to be seo1 to be able to apply. HOD position seo2.
Found out the hard way when I tried to apple. My RO was shocked how I know my CeP….anyway, I obviously left that sch and hope new sch will raise my cep. If not then just be HOT

lol you never discussed with your RO in the past few years about your aspirations? Your RO should have been able to advise accordingly, and/or advocate for a CEP adjustment if the school finds you suitable. Or the management culture too toxic that they don't want to support you in your advancement?

No tips, but the willingness to be the sai gang warrior. Took on roles as IPE, swc head, open house in charge and many more…so it is demoralised that despite these contributions and good performance grades, promotion to seo 1 is still taking ages.

Just got promoted to GEO4 after receiving B for the last 2 years. Last promoted to GEO3 last year. Can I check what is the salary for GEO4 now?

This has been happening in 2022-23. Not common, but happening.

Typical scholars will spend 2-3 years in GEO3, max. Higher tier scholars may be pulled out of the trench in just 1 year.
