Polling day compensation consists of 1 DOIL and election allowance $$. The election allowance is based on your election appointment, not based on your current salary. The amount is made known to you if you are eligible to receive. You can check the info sent to you by ELD or your ARO.

Workpal transport claim la. Election officials transport claims are paid by their ministry/SB. Clearly state what it is for, e.g. "PE23 PO Home to GARO Centre". You never claim transport before?

Most who joined as midcareer joined because they thought teaching is easier than their previous job. Or better paying.

Everybody looks in from outside and thinks working as an MOE teacher is easy, gives great work-life balance, iron rice bowl, can quiet quit in the same school reading off the same slides until they hit retirement age.
Then they come in and get a rude shock once the training wheels are taken away. Always the same story.
