There are a lot of people who are too free and has nothing to do who posts stuffs like this to wait for explosive reaction from us. That person may not even be a teacher to begin with. Anyone can post here. Ignore is the best.

Yes for sure he’s not one of us (though he seems to want to be, judging by his comments on job stability). As much as I feel sorry for this guy, I can’t help but feel outraged each time he posts <puke emoji> can understand why the person above replied to him indignantly. Troll or not, with the number of inappropriate teacher-student interactions in the papers these days, he tars our name.

Default Senior teacher ST interview

Does anyone have any ideas or tips to pass the ST interview?
I am still completing my nomination form... stressed about the ‘short write-ups’ on career aspiration and an educational issue...

Ask yourself why you want to be an ST. The write up is to ensure that you are sure of what you want to do.

Tip: Ask the STs in your school to share their write-ups with you OR if possible, ask them to give feedback to your write-up.

As someone who likes working with students, considered to be fairly ambitious but likes comfort zone, am somewhat at crossroads - whether to try for a kp position as opportunity is given, or stick to being a classroom teacher.
Quite comfortable with what I'm currently doing, so slightly cautious of rocking the boat and potentially having to engage in more politics. Once you become a KP, I think your dynamics with colleagues change. Responsibilities and expectations of you are also different. Any advice from people who have been in a similar position. Thanks!

The only way you’ll know is to try. Most schools have internal appointments these days. Perhaps try that first? Things will change, but it may not be for the worse.

Default Cep

Hi all,

Can CEP be raised by 2 grades in a setting?
I will be open posting out to a new sch next June. Just wondering, will my CEP be affected in any ways?

Thanks!

No.
Won't be affected. Even if your new school wants to raise or lower your CEP, have to wait for 2 years
