Sure SLs play a role of course. But teachers cannot just all push the blame if they themselves fail to handle properly. Same for SLs, if teachers fail to handle, they also can't just blame teachers. Must ask themselves if they got set a proper direction. These kind of things, takes a village one. No one person can just be solely responsible.

disagree. without SL setting boundaries some teachers will cave in and parent will manipulate teachers - if teacher A can do why not you.
SLs get big fat salaries for what?

and since the GEO3 is very near the new ceiling, he or she will be promoted to GEO4 from 2023 onwards, with the restored original increment, while the GEO4 promoted between 2020-2022 got the reduced increment only
conclusion?

Am the poster to this previously where my batchmate called HR. Did this GEO 4 promote in 2021 period?
Because both our salary adjustments are not 5%. We had around 9% too. Maybe you ask ur GEO 4 friend to call HR? Our adjustment is definitely higher than that of GEO 3 at that time of adjustment in Oct 2022

Anyway, our YOE is lesser also. Entered in 2017 so at the time of adjustment we were in our 5-6YOE. Not sure if it affects anything. But yea I think your friend should just call HR.
Not sure if ur examples are from authentic real people, or you just providing some numbers for authentic calculation, but ya all seems correct on my end.

Wa if the teacher cannot even adapt to situations and learn to pull out or modify the interactions with parents then their growth mindset is bad. You want blame SLs only, everything can also blame. But teachers communication with parents, teachers need to assume responsibility. SLs also. But u cannot just use salaries to determine SLs have a hand in everything.
Maybe the high salaries from SLs are given for their foresight to weed out negative mindsets like you, who shirks responsibility, and highly likely are resistive towards change. Just say bye to this service and move on la. Want to push everything only.

Then just say No to the parent. Just because another teacher is ok with it doesn't mean that others should be.
Why be a spineless adult? Teachers really never grew up and left their childhood schoolchild mentality

Agreed. Why is the teaching service so full of people who think that everyone else is to blame but not themselves?

Thanks, this is new info to many of us.
Promoted in April 2022 to GEO4.
Only 5% adjustment in Oct 2022. Back calculated using difference in April and Oct basic pay.
Anyone of the same batch with the same experience?

True. SLs governing a school is akin to a prime minister governing a nation. when the ministers (HODs), senior civil servants (SHs) and civil servants (teachers) dont perform or make mistake, why should the prime minister (principal) take the blame? the Prime Minister (SLs) is a proven competent leader that shouldnt shoulder the blame for others, since the Prime Minister (SLs) would have worked his way up to prove his worth.Yes, he’s paid the highest in the nation (school), but dont make your problem, his problem. of course, whatever contributions or positive things that the country (school) get or enjoys due to civil servants (teacher) efforts is due to the prime minister’s (SLs) guidance, so prime minister (SLs) MUST take credit.

Just went to check.. I'm GEO4 promoted 2021 also. Was drawing 5498, then salary revision in Oct 22 as a GEO4, increased to 5983. It's around 9% for me as well.
Maybe y'all should really call HR to see who gets this 9% adjustment. They must have certain considerations. Like during which period or sth. And confirm calculated on their end, to avoid backlash
