I get that you need to “prove yourself” in the corporate world, but surely there are more meaningful ways than just putting in the hours.
'Slogging it out' is a con to keep the minions happy. Same with 'slog now, reap the rewards later as a partner'. Or 'steady increments every year'. etc etc.

As professional services, all juniors are merely units of production. Partners pocket the profits.

Its a pyramid mah. The base must support the top of the pyramid.

Questions to ask yourself are: what are the odds of making it to the top of the pyramid? Is there a reason why most of the base never makes it to the top? Is it by design, and if so, what are my real chances?

I prefer the lottery analogy.

Everyone who buys a ticket hopes to win, but their chances are slim to none.

Factually, there is a none-zero chance of winning.

End of the day the biggest winner is the lottery company.

Default EY tech consulting associate data analytics

Hi guys, I am a fresh grad and have recently been offered the position of Technology Consulting Associate, Data & Analytics from E&Y. Is anyone able to offer further insights on this role?
1. Is it tech-heavy?
2. WLB?
3. Growth opportunities?
4. Exit opportunities?
etc
Anything that you can share is much appreciated. Thank you so much!
