Understand that for tax, the ranking of Big 4 is EY > KPMG > PwC > Deloitte
Currently have an offer from Deloitte Corporate Tax. But Is Deloitte really that bad for tax?

I was JC qualified but went Poly. No one cares now I was a 8 pointer for O levels, only that I’m a diploma holder.

Lol! I like your analogy. Funny and yet relatable.
Anyway let me throw him a small bone: He can still take GMAT and use his double FCH to apply for a top tier MBA. With that, at least he can set himself apart from the rest of the audit associates.

That's a very expensive investment. Not anyone would dare to do it. But yes, have seen other people doing a Masters to try move into other gigs
Depends on what he wants to do, there are other alternatives which are more economical but may require a fair bit of luck and pushing on. A Master degree to move into other gigs would need luck and effort too

Probably trolling.
It is exceedingly rare for a double first class to join audit. Maybe they exact but I haven’t met one in person before.

Secondment / Internal transfer to department in big4
Would like to know more about secondment / internal transfer between department in Big4? Is it a must to stay for 1 year in the current role in order for secondment / internal transfer? Even if it is a year as required, it may not be relevant as the 1 year of service is experienced in department A but not in department B.
