He didn't hack anything he just used his admin password which incredibly means that they didn't change it after firing him!
This company run by a bunch of clowns, I hope no gov contracts under them.

Agreed, bad exit process, no annual review of the access right, no regular password change process.
What's their audit doing ?

YOE puzzle
I am puzzled by years of experience (yoe) in tech industry. I saw many jobs with a minimum yoe requirement while some tech stack only become mainstream within the past few years. In my own experience, a person who claim to have 10-15 years of engineering experience perform worse than a more junior engineer with 5 yoe even though both have worked on the same project for the same period of time. What matters is experience but not years. A person who does the same work for 5 years is effectively having just 1 yoe. While another person who takes the initiatives to solve different problems, cross-function and covering different roles at different levels effectively gain much more experience. I think as an organisation, we should encourage and incentivise people to become the latter.
