I can think of a couple of other ex straight As courses that are more sad.
The only negative thing is that your juniors may not be JC straight A students. Other than that, nothing has really changed unlike other sectors like O&G. If not what else would you have studied
Law / med are out of equation since you would have joined if can & want.
Comp science is not suitable for everyone too even though it is the popular choice now. If you chose accountancy, it is likely that you are partly inclined towards humanities-based than science/math-based course.
Other past-present straight As course like pharmacy is not much better. Probably better to do accountancy (not a straight A course) vs pharmacy.

Talk cork. Most auditors can't write to save their lives. If the average jhk Manglish prevalent in the Big 4 is anything to go by, I highly doubt that most accounting trained ppl are inclined towards humanities.

Humanities is more than just language. Philo, economics and etc are considered more humanities course than science/mathematic course. Although philo/economics will have numbers and logic involved

LOL nobody said it's only about languages. Also, I think you're confusing humanities with social sciences. In any case, all of these fields, including those you listed, require better writing skills than the typical Big 4 auditor, especially jhk, possesses.
