Ah sia kia really good life.Go big 4 also different treatment
I used to share cab with this senior who stays landed.. he says his parents force him to come Big 4 for the experience so when they bring him into the family business, the other employees will “respect” him more instead of being a parachuted general, and he can value add to the business with actual experience.

Not fair to compare the average person against this category lah. This kind is not farming big 4 for money, but treating the firm like a school.

See you also caveat if you are good mah.

But Big4 Associate 1 to Associate 2 is like Primary 1 promote to Primary 2. You don’t need to be good, just normal and average.

But compared to doctors, engineers, SWE, bankers, scholars? Not even in the same league.
After 8 years, engineers will lilely earn less and scholars maybe about flat or slightly more? Scholars have its prestige, but civil sectors have pay limitations.

Ignoring hours, it is an ok place to be in. High level of employability given much lower ompetition for jobs, and decent pay after a couple of years. And apparently, it is much easier to get into accountancy or biz sch nowadays?
