It is honestly not that hard. There are plenty of scrubs who reached manager by putting in the years. I found it so hard to respect some of my AMs because of how bad they are in their work.

Not saying that you can't make audit your profession. If you like it, stay in it. But there is no need to treat it as the One Job.

Don't need to preach to the choir. The people who know they can do better outside have left long ago. It's the people who are stuck inside with nowhere or no guts to go, that must take cold comfort in talking points like "guaranteed progression", "chance of equity partnership", "200k after 15 years".
It is not a TERRIBLE profession. If you can beat the odds with tireless stamina, and make it to the jackpot of equity, sure good for you.
Just know that there are far less soul sucking routes of making the same salary ranges.
And to upsell this like the poster above did, e.g. "very few other professions can get 200k in 15 years" , as though it's some super attractive deal, is really stretching it lah.

100% agree with this. There are many ways to get 200k LOL. Audit is excellent long term, but you must survive the grind first

Sure you can get to AM and M just by clocking time, anything above that is not guaranteed.

Isn't rating 3 = pass = eventual promotion to M1-3, then SM? Granted that you can get a worse than neutral rating, but a neutral rating is not very hard to get.

It’s not guaranteed but you gotta admit that A1 A2 S1 S2
feels like Sec 1 Sec 2 Sec 3 Sec 4
Got people retain but most people will promote if you study
