I open shop sell curry; put notice board big big say very spicy
You come in eat, find it too spicy, then demand I should change recipe?
Huhhhhh?

U also put the curry is one of the best in the world (eg. world class learning), but its not, because firm dont make ppl, is the ppl who make the firm (u just got too many bad cook). We only feedback. Only the top can demand u to change ur cook and maybe lousy recipe..
Of cos .. when ur curry is not welcome by human beings u choose to give it to the dogs.

You are big4 manager? I am a firm believer of taking actions instead of just complaining about things that I can't change. So left big4 and also left my previous firm last year
Despite that being said, I think it is fair to have feedback or complaints about how a firm does things. And honestly, there are a lot of things that can be changed about Big4. Even if we don't talk about the hours, pay or lack of coaching/guidance, some of the simple thing such as putting in a reasonable bid for engagements or allowing the team to book all hours into timesheet should be practised.
Booking hours don't even cause the firm or clients extra money. It just show how silly the SM / partner is when drafting the fees, budget and audit scope.
