external background checks blah blah, how the fk do they get your 1-2 years ago salary info? most companies ask for last drawn payslip just to verify that you held your previous job and to lowball u or some ******** ... if they want proof that i worked in the past, they just do background check right? need my payslip for fk?
contact your previous employers for job performance? simi lj da fuq?
is your company stupid? what if ur manager is a cb and they contact him then he say "wow ya TS damn gay, #1 retard, dont hire him"

Refuse consent would most likely means the hiring will not proceed. You should just act blur and say you computed wrongly when asked. A few hundred should be still okay. Fact is the most recent one is correct.
At most find another job since you are testing out your theory by bluffing your salary anyway.

This is very common what. Doing background checks are the right thing to do. Not many foreigners are as guai as Singaporeans in telling the whole truth in resumes and interviews.
Thats why it is important not to burn bridges. You never know when you need your former boss as a character referee.

Must be a garbage trash MNC if you need to agree to them calling your previous employers for "job performance".
The 3 different jobs I worked at only asked verbally. The fact that I held high positions and worked for years in these different companies were enough "proof" that my job performance is "good" lol otherwise I'd be fired a long time ago.

Cannot live with myself mah. Like a stain now. Feel like rejecting the hire but then no job. Why can't Singapore pass the law like the US to ban employers from asking salary info?
