Questions for contract jobs

Hi all,

I apologize if my title is vague but I am a fresh grad and is rather new to the real world. Appreciate if anyone could give me any advice.

First, I was offered a job via an agency. My pay will be 3.5k however the contacting period is 2 years. No bonus but have AL, insurance and ML. There may also be a chance for it to be convert to permanent.

My question is, usually for such contracts, is there any chance for salary increments in the second year? Or should I ask the agency?

In addition, any other stuff I should ask the agency to clarify for any matter before I sign the paper?

have you done any internships during your uni final years? if u interned at decent companies, i would honestly just ask your previous manager for full-time conversion or referral, most fresh grads do this for their first job.

3.5k is damn low, worse of all its a contract so means after 2 years theres no guarantee you'll still have the job... im also not sure about pay increments, typically from what i know contracts dont do pay increments.

also is this a WITCH company? sounds like it

why not try for grad programs? they pay like 4.5k to 5.5k+, places like paypal, visa, etc...

2 year contract at 3.5k. well , it seems like it would remained the same till after the 2 years. so im guessing there is no increment in the 2 years.

Usually for contract roles there's a 1-month completion (or you can think of it as AWS) for every 12-months fulfillment. Most decent/respectable company have this common term.

no bonus is the loss of a lot of money... dont just look at the monthly salary, have to calc the full annual package.
