remember, in civil servive and other stat board, fresh grads are employrd at asst mgr, mgr or AD title (all are inflated title with zero personnel supervision responsibilities).

The same argument can be made for a vice principal and principal in a school.
Then there's also the side to the impact of the work. A finance ministry director can claim his work is much more impactful than a cultural director or even an MOE director. That said, a poly school director is only responsible for a minuscule segment of the entire country. Definitely not as impactful.

Hi, I've sent out my application for a lecturing position in a poly about 3 weeks ago. May I know how long will it take for them to inform short listed candidates for interview? Thank u.

Depending on your qualification and experience,
Singapore poly - 1 to 2 month ( gets a lot of application and they screen them well)
NP - 1 month
RP - you should have got your interview letter by now. Generally they are quick as not many applications to screen - they'd be happy to take you if you meet the beside minimum requirements.

Why not? Pax 3 pay can reach $10k pm on average. With 13th month and 6 months bonus, we are looking at $190k a yr!
