How about Principal?
Does "Bar" mean average? But it seems skewed toward the max side.

Bar is not average. As the mid-point of a salary range is the target salary for a particular job level, a salary bar is set at about the 2/3 point of the range to ensure that only staff who can add value to their jobs can progress to the top of the salary ranges. For crossing the salary bars, staff must produce consistent performance of at least grade “C+” for 2 consecutive years. For staff in the senior grades, the minimum criterion is 2 “B”s.
Principal's job grade does not lie within this framework. There is also a PAX1A (above PAX1) for the Deputy Principal, but I do not know the pay scale for this job grade.

Hello, I was the one who posted earlier. Am on PAX5 (not at ceiling ;( ).
Thank you for your posting. I gather that this shcedule is the current framework, before the rumored new salary framework revision. Been waiting for the announcement, how "soon" is the "will be announced soon"? The wait is killing me. Even up 5% also OK; better than don't have. Reliable source? My last bit of news is the revision already sent to PSC for approval but no final resolution ...

8437 less your cpf (assume 20%, come out 1687) = 6750
assume 16% is from employer into your cpf account = 1350
you will get take home = 6750$ in dec
total in cpf = 1687+1350 = 3037$
