That was for year 2008 where it was already posted in #38. Someone posted Pax 3 cap is adjusted to ~13K...so can anyone post the new scheme if that is the case?
From the 2008 joint review and i don't think they have review since then:

PAX 2 10,520 14,500/ 16,490
PAX 3 6,620 9,140/ 10,400
PAX 4A/ 4E 4,580 7,030/ 8,250
PAX 5A/ 5E 3,470 5,320/ 6,240

wat is your last basic salary/mth?
wat is your last annual salary?
Some info from my friend
previously have about 9.5-10 years of engineering exp in local GLC, with last basic salary between 4k-4.1k/mth, annual about 70k(including all bonus)
then this friend join to be poly lecturer about 4.8K/mth basic...(abt 20% in basic salary increment)
annual package in poly should be 15-16mths of basic salary

A word of caution, it is difficult to jump back into the industry once u are in teaching for more than 3-4yrs. Once u decide go into teaching, do it all the way.

I don't know what kind of poly lecturer you all are refering to, but I can say if you are really doing lecturer job, the pay should be at least 8k. How come so many people here say they only get 4-5k?
Are you sure you all are really lecturer or academic officers that take on a teaching role in poly? Got big difference you know?

There is no such things as min 8k. I am in the finance industry and wanted to switch to teaching but was offered 5.7k. A drastic 30-40% pay cut that is difficult to stomach. That is why I rejected it upfront. I do have a local master degree with 10 years of working experience.

What job did they offer you? I know in RP even Senior Academic Officer (not lecturer) already ~$7k, so I'm surprise they offer only $5.7k for your academic & career credential.

Friend, lecturers aren't professors. They don't make a lot of money. 8k is excessive for a lecturer in a non-managerial position.
If you are good, stay in your professional career. Those who are good, do; those who aren't, teach.
