Not sure the payslip will breakdown how much for salary adjustment, how mush is for annual increment.

SWE here.

Does having Govtech on resume open more doors compared to other big tech companies in Singapore?

I'm not sure how relevant is it since most people around the world wouldn't know what Govtech is...

Good place to hang around for 3 to 4 years before moving to FAANG / MNCs / banks.

Depends on which projects you work on. Those highly mission critical ones like Tracetogether will certainly earn you lots of cred. Those low exposure and also non critical apps like LifeSG, big tech will likely give discount on your experience. SVC ones, sorry, none of the projects will ever be significant enough, and likely your projects will never have visibility.

Note that having minister or president or whatever awards won't have any bearing on big tech's assessment of the project, in any big tech's interview.

What is SVC?

What about projects that focuses on engineering productivity? Will these have more credibility?

Actually it all depends on your interview, how you respond is equally as important. IMO you don’t need to be in high profile projects to be able to showcase your skills la, it’s not as if you gonna silo and do it alone right and claim all credits.

If you can quantify your achievements and pass coding tests surely will get your ideal job eventually

Doesn't it all depend on the type of work you done, the role you played, the technology you applied and the type of impact that you have? It doesn't matter whether you're in big name MNC or startup does it? it's all about showing how much you have learned and more imptly how many people you have impacted.

I've interned in multiple places but my most impactful one was the one at a startup with an actual live product which always get brought up during interviews. If your project has no impact, then use the skills you've learned to talk about during interviews lah... is all about how you sell yourself.

Don't optimise for credibility, optimise for your interest. Credible project but if you hate it then you're not going to perform what lmao
