Say for officer role. Just asking in general, as I saw from previous thread mentioned about contract via agency with no benefits. And how are they paid? Monthly basis, by day or hour?

Hey there! What does contract subject for renewal means? Will there be a case when the civil service company does not want to renew your contract even if you have performed ok? Thanks!

There are generally two types of contracts.
Project based. You are hired for a project or to ease temporal manpower shortage. Contract period usually 12 months or shorter. Such contracts will cease on end date. Unless project extended and they seek permission to extend your contract. Of course if you perform well they may consider you for a different perm position if the organisation happens to be hiring. But you still have to compete with other candidates.
Contract as an entry point for perm convert. Usually one or two year. If you do well you will be converted to perm. If you are borderline they extend your contract for further evaluation. If you are not performing they can wait for contract to lapse or even give notice and ask you to go.

Hello! Has anyone been asked by HR whether you have applied to other govt jobs at the meantime? What do you usually say? How will this impact your upcoming interview?

I said that and they expedited an offer for me. Hahah. It only matters if they want you?
My friend did that too, saying that he has another offer (in a totally unrelated field of work) from another SB. Then the received a call from the 2nd SB like an hour after he left the office for a job offer.

Since got scholarship means you will go study masters full-time right?
Don't think it will enhance your CEP.. But you can try going to private sector first after your masters and ask for a raise, then go back public sector with higher value attached to you (thus can demand more pay)..

I'm not original poster. Do you know what you are talking? Take PG scholarship no need to serve bond?
My answer to original poster: taking masters will not increase CEP. But if CEP not high enough they will not spend money give you PG scholarship. So if you are offered, your CEP is there already. I'll choose to study. A good break and good chance to network
