Hi, just to share my experience. Not really sure how other SB work. I was offered a position at a SB and was offered a pay of $X. I negotiated with the HR and she was able to stretch it by $100. So, I supposed there is a buffer range. As I was looking at a higher pay (even though what they offered is already higher than what I stated as my expected pay) and considering another offer on hand too, the HR told me that I could write an official email to her so that she could seek approval from the higher management. Hope this helps

Joining one of the ministries with nearly 4 years of pte sector exp and msc. degree.

I put my expected as 5k on the application form - not sure if I have made a mistake with this. Anybody knows if my expected salary is too low?

u put 5k and they offer u 5k?, i believe ur current salary upper 4k range?

So I'm not sure. Does anyone know if Grade 7 AM in IMDA is an AM considered to be with some experience? And whether if Grade 6 is an AM with no prior experience as AM?

Not sure if you accepted the offer in the end. Thought I could let you know that Manager in IMDA is Grade 9 (with ceiling of 9k plus which is similar to the lower bar of MX10). Therefore, it might be a stretch for HR to offer you Grade 9 since current offer is only for Grade 7, after already considering your experience. I would encourage you to think long term.
