Not bad, but I prefer to make at least 20k before 40 then concentrate on my passion.

Should I Make the Switch
Hi all, I am currently not in the civil service, but am considering making the move.
Female, 27, 2nd upper Science graduate, non-scholar
I work in an tertiary education institution as a senior executive (administration).
2013 - $3000
2014 - $3100+
2015 - $3300+
2016 - $3700+
All the stated figures exclude performance bonus and 13th month (4-5 months in total)
I'm thinking of joining BCA Academy (Stat Board under MND) as an Executive Manager (Administration), with similar job scope to my current job.
1. What would likely be my progression pathway?
2. Which MX grade level would I likely be placed at?
3. What would be a good/reasonable amount to ask for as starting pay?
4. Is an "Executive Manager" position similar to that of a "Assistant Manager" as this is the first time I come across it?
Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

by gross pay you mean full year divided by 12
or
base plus allowance (and maybe plus employers cpf)?

Statistically that is correct. But a more relevant statistic would be the proportion of MX scheme officers in superscale.[/QUOTE]
There are different types of civil servants in different schemes. For example, teachers are also civil servants but they are not on the MX scheme and almost every principal are on superscale. That means 5 figure monthly salaries

1. Em > sm > dd > ....
2. MX 12
3. I would ask for at least 10% jump for any job hop, but its really up to the individual?
3. Like this thread has mentioned, designation varies, some call it EM at mx 12, some call it assistant director. What matters is the salary grade and the salary isn't it?
Yes its definitely a jump from the executive role (probably not MX scheme)?

May I know what is the salary range for a stat board under MTI with my profile as per below?
Second lower hons - with NS
4 years experience (relevant sector to job applied)
>2 years overseas working experience
Is >5K a possibility with my average uni grades?
