If you read through this thread, you'll find the info quite easily. In short, the HR of public agencies usually ask candidates to see the offered pay as a 16 month package. I.e. if you are offered 5k, your annual will be about 16 x 5. This is because bonuses in the civil/public sector are more predictable than the private section, as govt-entities do not depend on profitability. Why 16 months?

12 months - regular monthly pay
1 month - AWC (confirmed)
Performance bonus - 1-4 months, depending on performance grade (A/B/C) and substantive grade (Manager, senior manager etc).
Mid-year bonus: 0 - 0.5 month
End-year bonus: 0 - 1 month

The annual package may differ for specialised/professional schemes like lawyers, engineers, bankers. But by and large, for general/non-profession, non-tech, the 16 month benchmark is quite a reliable gauge.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice! So the 16-month package is more of an unofficial offer rather than in writing... I see...

Default MX Scheme

Heard that degree holders who come in MX13 will get MX12 1 year later. Will there be an increase in $300+ or 10% or anyone knows?

This is true for most Ministries/agencies, though there are exceptions like MSF where it'll take more than a year.

The increment on the year of your confirmation is slightly higher than a typical year, at around $200 - $250 (on a typical year, the increment is around $200).

Local uni with NS, first-class honours are getting around 4.5k these days. Females start with about $500 less. Annual increment is about $200, and about $400 on promotion years.

So, do take into consideration of all the possibilities that might happen and also the job market and economy. Don't later end up with nothing and just waste your time.
Took a leap of faith and left the force when I was in late thirties (over 10 years of exp) and joined defence and oversee security premise operations and asset protection, policies but for GLC… matched pay and have about 10% increment… >9k… finger crossed
