A few questions:
1. I understand MX9 is superscale, is it possible to enter as a superscale when I haven't spent a single day in civil service? I am pretty confident my skills in the private sector are transferable.
2. What kind of roles/titles should I look out for that will tell me that it's likely a MX10 or MX9 role? This will prevent me from spending unnecessary time applying for roles which are lower than my salary expectation.

Just a quick question. your current salary is near the ceiling, but is your annual income near? civil service on avg has 16 months annual. your current org has min 4 months bonus in total?

I just did a quick calculation of my average bonus over the past 10 years or so and it's about 6.5 months annually, excluding other benefits such as shares. So I will definitely be getting a pay cut in terms of my total annual package if I were to join as a MX10.

if that' the case then i think you really need MX9, superscale to beat that annual package superscale scheme has retirement bonus.

Also, another thing to note. Some civil service has retention bonus every few years, did not include them in the package that I have mentioned earlier. This retention bonus also depends on your scheme. Some is pretty high, so matching your 6.5 months on average is actually possible.

Cs jobs with retention payout are saf spf and some elite ministries. The normal mx scheme in your typical ministry don't have such detention payouts

Care to share more about ur profile first? Grade 9 is not an entry level grade. fresh grads start from grade 6.

almost all job scopes are called managers nowadays. non-engineering?
increment/pb depend on the job scope. 3-5%
