I remember there are many comments here about well paid PS/CS with some even starting pay $5kpm and above. Because I started with less than 2.5 kpm fourteen years ago.

You want to parachute as a Director into LTA? Unless you have some extremely specialised skills, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but you will never get any jobs in CS unless you are willing to take a huge pay cut. Many scholars are waiting to be DD/Directors.

i am in the same age range as you and earning about 140k, doing a job of a different nature

I am not prepared to take a huge pay cut. So 14 YOE, what is the expected range of salary in CS/PS?
