Govt shld do something abt it
Firstly make fm sab
Secondly revoke the right of gp to practise independently
Unless they practise under supervision of fcfps
Mmed also not enough. Mmed can be service registrar or rp level
Only fcfps can call themselves true fm
Then each case rp or mmed see already, need to be cleared by fcfps

LOL! Tahn gu gu.
This will do nothing to significantly improve health care.
But will
1) Increase costs for patients and govt
2) Make a lot of GPs and FPs unhappy with a loss of income
3) Cause inconvenience to patients - longer wait time needing to be cleared by FCFPS "True FMs"
4) Cause of a lot of employers to have a headache with hiring the proper "True FMs"
Benefit only a small number inconvenience the vast majority and add cost with little no perceived change to level of care.
Dream on you fcfpc "true FM".

There is not even enough FCFPC around . Funny , actually talking about FCFPC , did you go see how little female full time FCFP there are? most i know are part - time , not even enough female drs ... then all the male need chaperones, and if you only allow them to see , you have a crisis of severe shortage of fam med drs- it will actually be a crisis so no way it will happen

Lol.
Did you even take FCFP?
The curriculum is quite irrelevant to the actual practice of FM in the community.
It’s quite specific to probably those practicing in CH or the most MDT in OPS.
There’s nothing “true” about “true FM”.
Some fellows are not even worthy of the title.
Anyways, all these doesn’t change the fact that FP / GP will forever be the lowest paid.
That is just how life is. Generalists will always earn less than specialists.
No point complaining about the pay. If you want do something different then strike it out and try something different.

Ok brilliant suggestion.
As it is consults now are cheaper than the cost of haircut.
So now you want to split fee even further to give the FCFP a cut of the fee for reviewing each case
Good luck with that. Now the take home per case for a non FCFP GP can’t even buy chicken rice.

dreamer who has no clue about FCFP curriculum.
the course and exam is completely irrelevant to 99% of GP practice which explains why there is zero incentive for anyone to take the exam unless you are keen on climbing the public healthcare ladder.
it's mainly for comm hos consultants or those doing home care / MDTs.
good luck asking all your FCFP to clear URTI GE DM HTN cases

lolo, u got suckered in a troll post.
tbh no need FCFP to be a good FP.
Just make singapore FP standard same as that as the rest of the world - 3 years formalized training with tough exit exams and not pretend that a diploma with a half ass exam makes you one

Yes. Any Singaporean GP with only a GDFM, can only apply for medical officer jobs in Australia/SHO jobs in the UK.
Your years of experience doesn’t matter, if you don’t have a FRACGP for Aus/MRCGP for UK, you are not eligible to apply/work as a GP

Using your analogy, does that mean that if one has MRCs or Mrcp, they can apply to become surgical and medical registrar in UK?
Ironical thing is I am a GP with gdfm, but I also have both Mrcp and MRCs (done during my mo years many years back) lol

SG FPs got MRCGP? FRACGP?
They got MMed fam med instead.
No difference if you are planning to move abroad.
Likely you wil need to go through practice ready assessments
Or do residency program.
