What is "simple life"?
Sorry having to deal with people will never be simple.
Want to have simple life then do work that doesn't deal with people with emotions, pain, sadness, trauma, suffering.

For those doctors looking to strike out to open their own clinic - where do they get their first pot of gold to build up the capital for rental, medical equipment, pharmacy, admin aunties etc?

Do they just work for many years and save? Borrow from fam? Or does some PE or fund usually back these aspirants?

Talking about doctors in probably internal medicine in restructured hospitals and jumping out to open their own clinic - be it GP clinic or specialist clinic or even paediatrician?

Used to be work and save.
But with the very slow increase in salaries but massive increase in rental costs and property costs nowadays it is almost impossible to save for it.
Need investors. Seed money.
Getting harder unfortunately.

Start own clinic also doesn’t mean will make money I guess.

Is it more worthwhile to stay at restructured hospital specialist?

Then can go home on time and guide the kids.

But honestly I think the pay not bad leh
I mean compared to my jc class those with s papers
I think I’m like the higher tier in terms of income

One guy entrepreneur, so he earns more
But those banks or law, similar compensation as me
300-400k for late thirties alr respectable Liao.

In fact most lawyers or bankers don’t earn that much
