At least thats the case in Singapore.
Agree but timing also important. Now is a good time to sell but not to buy as prices have climbed a lot the last 2 years. Recession may be coming, wait for a downturn in prices first before buying. Interest rates also too high to borrow money. Glad we can pay off our home loan soon so don't have to pay the bank so much interest.

The recent crash in stock market was a good chance to buy. Now the tech stocks are rising again. Alibaba by 100%, my FB shares also finally rebounding.

I heard from my lawyer before that there was a Dr who bought and sold so many properties like 20 over that IRAS deemed him a trader. He must have huat to the moon.

That is not true. At least for private property u can. Don't need to divorce. Not sure about HDB rules though.

Can buy an EC first I suppose as it gets privatised in 10 years. Then can decouple perhaps. Better to check with a lawyer or agent though.

Back in the day.....
How much was property?
How much was consult fee?
Devil is in details.
Also back in the day there was no google.
Level of knowledge patients had was literally zero.
Parental type practice of medicine
I would say back in the day drs had it easy.
How many patients ever argue with the dr?

WRONG
This is exactly the loser mentality.
Singapore property is NOT like stocks
Sg govt supports the market
Back in 2008 I heard exactly same thing from OPS colleagues
Rubbish.
If you have such mentality you will never buy property
There will always be excuses.
