all i can say is junior cons salary will hover around the 20-25k range
senior cons will hit 30k and above

At the age of what? At least 50 for senior cons. Why waste the time slogging when you can easily make that amount in your 30s, as an aesthetic doctor

Hope this helps!
Sibei jialat.
It's outpatient polyclinic service.
Hence ops.

Not sure if it's really service for the poor.
Not an insignificant number of my patient live in landed.
And they are the most greedy.
Ask for vitamin c, vitamin d ,screening pelvic ultradound and what not
I reject giving to one before and kenna complained.
But clearly no indication so boss got my back
But thats how vindictive they are.
They do screening ultradound privately is 500
Come ops ask is 80 bucks.
Younger colleagues or those want to push number just give what they want
Clogging up the system

Can't make it become GP?
Hei
Maybe, maybe not
One go become minster
Another billionaire who hires specialist.
I locum see private clinic clear 100k a month in revenue.
Got one is 200k.
I wonder what I'm doing making barely 250k a year in ops
I dunno man...gp cannot make it?

I also see cannot make it cardiologist before.
Open a clinic in the heartlands everytime I walk by no one inside
There was also a cannot make it general surgeon.
Going by percentage I think cannot make it specialist higher
A lot of GP no skill but raking it in.
For what they know they are actually making way too much money
A lot of so call specialist supposedly got skill but even when I'm a resident I already find them dodgy

It's difficult work. Not always because of the technicalities but because we deal with people who have emotions and souls.

And too often I have seen doctors are so egoistic they believe themselves to be the best dr in the universe. And so often each one of us is left to fend for ourselves alone.

Why are there no doctor support groups? Doctors coming to share their difficult days and know they are not alone?

Toxic culture in medicine.

This forum is anyonymous. So know that I will be here for anyone who needs some venting and understanding. Take good care of yourselves.
Thanks! It’s always refreshing to hear words of support from others who understand.
Once I tried sharing with seniors. Often leads to gaslighting and how it’s rly my fault haha

Well said. This is my practice philosophy as well, and have not yet experienced burnout since completing residency 2 years ago. Granted, I am a specialist and my patients are generally lean on the healthier side, so my patient population may be different.
