1. most reputable is polyclinics. Iron rice bowl. you dun huat there, but u can slowly farm. No residency never mind. Can GDFM -> m.med -> FCFP and accordingly FP -> AC FP - C FP etc.

Even GDFM FP makes a decent 150-160K a year for a start.


2. next will be large groups. 1st tier will be raffles, shenton etc. Second tier will be those like frontier, northwest , faith etc.

How to be sustainable? you become anchor for that clinic u also suck thumb wondering if your job is secured. Minmed wants a clinic in every MRT station. You can survive without being on healthier SG.

Remember , as a private GP u got a job only as long as the clinic makes money for the owner. one day you dun see 30-40 patients, the clinic cannot break even.
when you work for the polyclinic, the polyclinic lose money also ok. you dun go download porn or molest girls like the doctors on the news, your job is secured.

Nowadays PGY2 or 3 breaking bonds to open clinic already.

You start early now PGY3 u enter, PGY 6 hit senior clinician, PGY 10 hit principal same pay as consultant

Their number of clinic still high 30s to 40s

Healthway always got a problem ma.
10 years ago they even own their GP salary
No one who knows will go join them

Onecare has some clinics that are very very profitable
The new ones not so
They gunning for size now.

Fullerton is B2B lei. They don't pay a lot to begin with but their job is damn chill

To that someone who keep asking for reputable clinics
Go out and locum and learn about the landscape and make your decision yourself
Anyway these small chains want to hire someone who can hit the ground running
Not some jaded eye or ent wannabe who fail to get residency
for 5 years and now want to go to gp land
