in general primary care in SG is pretty substandard.
lots of untrained GPs around, and even polyclinic even though bigger / more staff, but usually chronic issues are still poorly managed.
i notice this all the time when i was working in polyclinic, and even right now when i'm in private and review patients who come to me for review (while seeing OPS or other GPs for chronics), chronics are still being mismanaged++, issues are left out, patients are clueless about their conditions, wrong medications are prescribed, unnecessary meds, etc
fyi i work in a setting where i have a proper amount of time to spend per patient and i go through all their issues properly. this to me is the ideal standard of care - not some rubbish 3 min consult by OPS, or an untrained locum in the GP clinic

Idealism. Optimism. Hope.
Been there.
Eventually the reality is that it is more up to the patients themselves
Not us the drs.
Drs are paid to see. Not to produce results.
