Soft skills.
You likable or not? Friendly to patient?
Can speak good hokkien? Cantonese? Hainanese? Malay?
Tamil? Bangla? Korean? Japanese? French? German?
Languages is a big plus cos you can get niche market high end
Insurance covered clients.
GP need to have good rapport with patients.
Trust you. Flexible alsom not everything is follow CPG strictly
Willing to do more also. Eg after work go do housecall for some patients
Certify death.
Willing to do health talks presentations.
Volunteer at health screening events
Good understanding of high profit margin meds to prescribe
Fast but not rushed. Efficient but not sloppy and miss things
You guys in GP land still function as phlebotomists right?
Eg for maid checkups and patient needing blood work?
Last time pretty sure HO do so many changes by the time MO
Is the best at taking blood.
But I heard lately got phlebotomists in govt hosp? So HO MO still good at takig blood or not?
GP land must be very patient and friendly. Caring
Know how to talk. Sweet talk. Small talk.
Esp beginning time got to invest time and effort
Later established relationship with patient then can go a bit faster
Alao depends you anchorint existing busy clinic cos main dr left
Or are you 2nd dr? Or are you anchoring NEW clinic?
New clinic is tough. Cos you competing with other established clinic.
Often they will under charge vs the new chain clinic. Plus pts
Have drs have their loyal following of pts.
If you 2nd dr is a good place to start.
But you must be aware of habits and practices of the anchor dr.
Dont go tell patient anchor dr do things wrong or not according
To CPG etc.
Know your place. Follow. Be nice. Slowly have pts warm up to you too.
Many things.
You will learn as you go.

I think unemployment rate is higher than reported cause heard that those more than 6 mths unemployed are taken out of the calculations.
Many overqualified Grabdrivers. Often chat with them when I take Grab.

You maybe get a 5% increase at best.
You are stuck.

Yeah soft skills are important. Try not to get patient complaint letter. I had quite a few so cannot progress in my C reg from level 1. Keeping fingers crossed won't get anymore.
Must give patients TLC in private, look at them more than computer. Don't be rushed in examination. Be caring. EQ must be good.

I worked in polyclinic then moved to rmg (large chain group) few years back. Funnily I get more complaints during my time in ops then in rmg. (Which is wierd coz if you read google review of my rmg branch.. it's like less than 2 lol)

Patient complaints can be unwarranted and of no fault of yours eg ) unreasonable patient or patient just wants to waive charges. I would think private has less of these patients
For some reason the patients who doesnt want to pay but wants the world done and has many issues are in OPS, i am not saying these are not in private but OPS has more. Those that wants the world done comes to OPS. i look at some of their address, freehold private property , still come to OPS- so many issues, wants referral here and there. suprised they dont have private coverage.

"Not get complaint letter"?
Please. In pte you need to impress and get compliments not just
No complaints!
Seriously medicine hard to get compliments
You need to go extra mile.
And these are things other drs wont do for pt.
One eg is give them your cell phone number. Or email.
I am not saying this is a good or bad thing. Cos got pros and cons
Of course.
But you get what I mean?
