obvious troll is obvious, but what difference does it make if someone is WFH if AI is advanced enough to replace a job? If AI is advanced enough & it is profitable to outsource to AI, from a corporate point of view, the work will be done by AI whether or not the worker is WFH. This applies for all companies with profit seeking motive.

So if u accept that AI will replace your job anyway, might as well WFH cos management won't care if you are in office if it is indeed more profitable for AI to do your job (and this is a huge assumption)

Why cannot respond to post online? It's a free country.

I do notice that trolls tend to spout nonsense less after someone takes their comment at face value. It's kinda refreshing actually

2PQE and I’m in with firm #04. Regretably I’ve had 2 short stints in two small firms lasting < 3 months. My current pay is slightly below 5k.

I did 1 year with one of the firms I was in out of the 4.

I have been in my current firm (#04) for more than 7 months and while it is peaceful, remuneration is unsustainable in long run. I feel like I’ve taken too low of a salary and have ruined my career.

I’m thinking of reapplying again when I’m close to completing a year in March/Apr for better prospects as I’ve pigeonholed myself in the small-mid firms throughout my career.

Should I apply to bigger firms in Jan if I look to start in June/July?
When I was 2PQE in a mid-sized firm I was only drawing 5k so you’re not too far off. At the 3PQE mark I got a 60% bump in my salary, after I joined a specialist firm and worked my ass off for about half a year. While your current salary will certainly limit your initial pay bump if you change firms, you’ll likely be able to negotiate a higher pay once you’ve proven your worth to the firm. Do choose your next firm wisely and stop hopping around.

Consider becoming a paralegal. The industry also needs more of these unsung heroes.

Read too much Richard Susskind rubbish ah

Honestly not worried. Long before AI tech matures to a point that it can effectively replace lawyers, it would have caused a paradigm shift in entire sectors of the economy long before that.
