Tbh, anything later than 1 week is highly likely to be a no. Most firms offer within 2-3days if they want you, or one week if they're quite swamped (or you're not really their top choice).

After that, if you ever get to the point where you're thinking, it's been some time, should I call them or email them to ask? Don't bother.

Small firm. But the application process rabak sia. Interview plus written test on basic law. I passed cos I literally read one of the cases that the test was based on the week before.

I can understand why I kena called troll, but this kind of thing don't need me to do affidavit or SD lah. If your whole legal career only one interview for TC at B4 then you good lah, the rest of us just gotta keep applying and going for interviews, gain all kinds of experience.

This is quite accurate and iirc most if not all B4s already filled up their slots for TC2024 already.

One contract one tort (cos I applied liti). Can't recall the exact details. Tort was sthg like nuisance (neighbour disturbance or leaking water).

Substantive plus a bit of procedure. Also talk about the costs of legal proceedings in advising client. Standard lah, if by TC you totally unaware or display zero awareness of costs and how hard it is to convince client to pay your bill etc then your boss will teach you the painful way.

Who else thinks slaving away in law is not worth it with covid cases rising? Apparently shortened life expectancy from covid is a thing from the eminent local forum.

Corp opens up alot more opportunities than IP. IP means you're pigeonholed forever.
