People who have been through the in-house recruitment process, how flexible are they usually in terms of salary negotiation? Would 10% or 20% above the first offer be possible?

Would like to know as well. Currently waiting for an offer for legal counsel and the salary range they indicated is kinda lower than expected. Would be great if someone with experience can chime in

The in-house counsel role is not like legal side lockstep progression and pay. It's like any other cost centre job, you must ownself negotiate for ownself one.

Do your appropriate market research and ask for the 10% bump if it's too low.

Default Male Lives Matter: revise Woman's Charter to be fair to men

Do you agree that Woman's Charter is an unfair law to men?

If the government wants protection for women, then extend the same protection for men. Otherwise, take out all protection for both men and women.

Be fair.

All Singaporean men who believe that #MaleLivesMatter should demand for a revision of this unfair law Woman's Charter.

If any woman here believe this is still a fair law in today's context in Singapore, please explain so.

To the 2 posters who asked about inhouse salary and range - what are they offering you? Then we can tell you if too high, too low, ask more, etc.

I've seen that the range depends on whether it's a local company, an APAC company, or a global company.

If local company, take a bit off big4 pay equivalent. Adjust upward thereafter for APAC and global.

*I am in-house now, and familiar with the general pay ranges.
