You can ask any B4 assoc -> we're still drowning in work

Lol. It’s actually a really busy season now. For corporate, things grinded to a halt during CB in April May but now things are coming back full swing with vengeance. For liti, especially busy because people are suing more, more insolvencies.

for NUS FCH graduates who do a LLM in London, how probable is it to land a TC there?

It's the height of stupidity to do that. If you are a FCH just get a TC with one of the MC firms who offer UK TCs to SG students (you'd be surprised at how easy this is, the vast majority of top students (like in the top 5% bracket of NUS and SMU students) would prefer a B4 TC to this).

Possibly data privacy?? I'm contemplating taking the CIPP/A to help my prospects if I want to apply as a Data Protection Officer.

It's hard being an NQ but there's a lack of IP roles on the market at the moment

lots of reasons. they're thinking of their salary prospects long term (equity partner in b4), they want to do contentious work, they want to get called faster, they want to jump into academia
