Heard AnG intends to bump their NQ to 8k from 2024 onwards. Anyone can confirm?

can't confirm this. besides 8k for NQ is way too high and unrealistic

I think 8k is pretty good. Hopefully they will move (to balance out opp cost for longer TC) and force the rest of the B4 / big firm pay benchmarks to move upwards.

Even if 8k for NQ is unrealistic, I think its pretty reasonable ask for 1PQE (i.e. 4 months after post-mass call NQ).

Doesn't benefit me, but always happy to see juniors getting better pay / better conditions. Just because we suffered doesn't mean they should.

We have recently updated our salary articles with the following information:

WongPartnership is said to receive 6.8k NQ, not 6.5k.
A&G is said to receive 7k from the start of August (before being called to the Bar).

Minimally, you should be disclosing your affiliations, especially if you're affiliated to a recruiter or recruitment firm. This is for accountability purposes, for the same reasons that recruiters are supposed to display their EA reg number.

Based on your post, your intending to eventually monetize this web portal. In the meantime, are you scraping the job ads off the respective firms' and companies' webpages? Did these website operators consent to their content being scraped?

1. We are not affiliated to a recruiter or recruitment firms. We are lawyers/ex-lawyers who found that we could ourselves benefit from consolidated job listings + Telegram updates + salary information. We hope this set of services can be beneficial to the legal community at large.

2. We ensure to abide by the Robots Exclusion Protocol, which is the standard used by websites to prevent automated crawling of their sites.

I heard the rest of the big 4 will also be bumping to similar figure, but not sure if overall this is even true

Good on you guys, if legit, to try and level the field between the employer and employee market in the SG legal industry.

I think criticisms are natural and to be expected but please don’t be put off by the unmerited bashing that anonymity brings and keep up the good work.

Will you guys be conducting an open survey much like the one that a lawmeme insta did a while back? Or disclosing to some extent where you guys are getting your data from?

Otherwise it’s really just tweaking the UI of the website (web and phone) for me. First would be the words of the page on mobile, which becomes illegible with a white font and white background.

They are only paying 7.5 for 1PQE. Where did you get your numbers from?

Thanks for the feedback 😊.

We understand the skepticism as we did pop up out of nowhere. However, we are confident that our positive intentions will be made clear with time.

We agree that there is an imbalance between employer and employee dynamics. We hope that creating a centralized platform to source jobs and industry information may help give lawyers some more bargaining power across the board.

Currently, we are being careful to not directly solicit lawyers to breach confidentiality arrangements with their employers. A general survey is something we will definitely consider when we are confident we can gather a large enough sample size like the Instagram page.

For now, we are relying on publicly available information and the kind, voluntary submissions by lawyers to our email at [email protected], with any information or corrections they think will be helpful.

We also believe we have fixed the white font on white background issue as of last week. Please let us know if the issue persists.
