Dunno why people were rubbishing the 20k figure a few pages back.

Drew AD is a junior JP so would not be getting 20k..

Disclosure- mommy alert- congrats!
My name is MacDuff and I am a countryist. I hadn’t realised it before but then Singaporean-owned dogs reared in Singapore for whom privilege is a birthright wouldn’t.

Anyone saw the new Hong Kong Legal Cheek website
://hk.legalcheek.com/
You think they should create one for Singapore too? Would be quite useful to have 1 for Singapore lawyers.

Master template for fighting the war for talent on salary.sg
* When a local law firm partner is competing for legal talent against other local firms, here are some ways to go about it *
(1) I. Claim you are paying market leading salaries to juniors, to cement your image as a top-paying firm in the industry, AND / OR
put out hearsay claims / quotes re. the high salaries of your other mid-level and above lawyers;
II. Depress whatever a competitor local firm claim they are paying to mid-level and above lawyers, by quoting the lower bounds of their black-box range.
(2) Talk up the prestige and scale of your work / clients. Additionally, deploy some identifiable slogans for your firm drive home this fact.
* When a local law firm partner is competing for legal talent against international firms *
(3) Deploy identity politics. Convince locals that your firm offers higher chances of partnership because hey! You, the partner, are a local too just like them.

because local grads are risk adverse and dont really try to push boundaries, making them even worse than - may ***** forgive me for uttering this - Dickson Poon grads
the truly devout fighters will shed all earthly possessions by joining AGC for 4k/mth with no prospects of FCH or scholarship
you are also essentially asking "why do cambridge grads aim for better firms on average compared to local grads"
