Also, as someone earlier said, BM has largely closed the salary gap with the SC level firms. It's still a tad bit lower than MC but the gap is small enough to make someone think twice about jumping to MC - which is the point of the raise in the first place.
CC will always be a league above BM in terms of pay, deal flow and prestige and exit opportunities

If the B4 raise salaries again, both BM and CC will raise salaries too

that's right, particularly for fields such as disputes, M&A, cap markets, and banking - although: (1) the pay gap is not as big as before and (2) BM has certain niche depts that CC doesn't have or which can roughly match CC in terms of market reputation (BM IP, Employment, and Tax are highly rated, which CC doesn't have at all, while BM Funds is not too far off from CC and BM FSR is larger/arguably stronger than CC)

To be a good lawyer, you need to firstly sell your soul to the british monarch and pledge allegiance so that you can embrace the inherited legal system from them

Get the facts right my gaslighting dragon, that was a piece of commentary originating from Lady Gloster for a different case with different facts. Instead of creating their own fireball, your wyrmlings gobbled up Lady Gloster's and rehashed it as their own. Now the fireball they ejected on my fern has reflected back, your burnt wyrmlings are scrambling to their daddy dragon for help. Is this how you treat their burns daddy dragon, by lighting more gas? Launch all the dragon-fire missiles you want back. My wool has difficulty catching fire.

Why do Local grads like to talk abt CC and BM?

My seniors from cambridge all focused on Latham / Gibson Dunn / White & Case etc

Because they're solely fixated on graduate positions in Singapore and those two firms were the "original" firms that provided for TCs at an "international firm" there

Completely oblivious of the fact that there are legitimate other international shops in Singapore in this new landscape, and their complete misconception that all FLA/JLVs are "false international firms". This is definitely not true.

With the exception of some known firms (DRD, HL), many of the other international firms in tie ups are legitimate international firms and there are many TC contracts being implemented in these firms now - which is a challenge to the big 4 and other Sg local shops

Regarding Gibson and W&C, Skadden, Freshfields, those still traditionally hire from A&G/WP, other international firms, or some star individuals in the mid-tier firms. So, it's hard for local grads to talk about them on this forum because they don't know jack ****
