Salary progression wise, very slow if staying in a company. If you wanna see big jump, may have to jump company in order to see a decent progression. At least to say in this semicon field, this is the trend.

It's sad to be in a country where the parents spent thousands of dollars on their children education, only to be relegated to work as grab/uber/cab drivers, effectively invalidating everything they are trained in school.
Not to mention those retrenched PMETs whose experience gone to waste doing something unrelated as a cab driver.

It's been a year plus since my last update. So... I've left that semicon company and joined a chemical company. It's still within the semicon industry though. The company is quite far from where I stay but no choice.
Market is quite bad now, very hard to search for a job. But life 's still good to me. My part time studies is going smooth(I hope, lol) now waiting for result. So finger crossed!
