As of update. I'm currently at Philips electronic, working as Chemical associate engineer somewhere related to my dip. At the same time, i had applied for ME scheme in saf, now waiting for their reply.

Ok la, PE is not too bad of a place although nowadays undergoing rough patch of cost cutting so increments & bonus may be lower than the past. Even if u dun get the ME, can stay at PE for some years and gain the exp.

Its been awhile here. As of my updates, ME application have not gotten back to me. So i guess they're not keen in me,most likely due to age.
But anyway,my contract ends with Philips Electronics already. It was a contract based job. They are not keen on continuing me,so got to find another job. Which i have. I'm a technician at a semicon company. Something that i've learned before, better pay, perm job,not bad benefits. So glad that I'm able to get this job. And be able to find one within short period of time
Hopefully,i have a smooth ride here.

You got to think ahead. Believe you will be getting married etc. As you progress, your commitment level will increase. Suggest you finish all your proper study while young. Otherwise you just stick with your diploma and get a proper job. Part time courses wont be easy esp if you have work and family.

Hey! I'm back here again. It's been awhile too, haha.
As for updates,I've been married just last year, got my hdb already plus renovation all done(: So that's that.
As mentioned from my previous post,I was from that semicon company. But, I've since left that company. I was headhunted by another company, same field though semicon. Job scope's doing about the same things but with better pay, etc.
Also,I've applied for suss to pursue part time degree in electronics. Though road's ahead will be tough, I'm willing to take it. Better future, for me and for my wife(:
Wish me luck!

Haha, I know it's kinda late to reply you now :P but..
Yep,gonna agree with that. Commitment level did indeed increase ever since I got married & got my flat. That's why I wanna kick start my part time study this year and grow from there. Will not be easy, I understand. It's sometime that I've wanna achieved as my life's goal(:

Yes, I'm still in this field but towards doing failure analysis.
I would say life's been very good to me. Quite fortunate in the jobs I got. So I wouldn't complain much.
