If you roll off without a project line up for you
mean you are on your own already right?

I heard the same thing over and over again “bench situation is bad” like bruh it hasn’t been good ever since covid + raise in I/R. Dog company is just mass hiring analyst thinking the new comers can replace those existing experienced personnel who left and expecting the experienced S/A & A to guide the new comers w/o pay increment lol

This person is wrong. U can actually forcefully request to roll yourself off if you’re under tap since we are under the policy where tappers are allowed for rotation AFTER A YEAR in your current project. Note keyword: AFTER A YEAR.
Here is one of the many ways how to do it (from my personal exp): Firstly approach the PM in your project EARLY to notify them that you wish to roll-off and don’t want any extension. U need to be firm. Once this is established and they still extend you ( this is usually the case if the project need people and if you perform decently). Next thing to do is to escalate to TAP head which I suppose is Deepak ( by doing so you will cause some tension between ur project incharge and yourself so don’t expect to head back to your project afterwards)
Once this is done you should be able to roll off successfully. You can bench up to 3 months with no issue. I did that and wasn’t fired. Inbetween got many projects interview ( around 9-10) but I was being picky so that caused the prolonged period of benching. Goodluck guys!

Bro, that is the old way of doing things, I assume u are from 2021/2022 times, since u mention deepak, now tapper head is no longer deepak btw
nowaday if u on bench too long, there is a long chance to be layoff, in 2023 the company is like not doing well at all, company has been cutting some people, and some project have been closed, like for e.g. Govtech
Now, there does not have many project for you to "interview", the situation now is 20 people fight for 1 role, every time there are opening
Reason is because a lot of tapper are over hired, so they will fill those tapper first....
on bench too long also might affect your TD and bonus
I spoke to the HR, best is you have some connection or already confirm some opening for you, before you leave your project
Now company is already start to ask some of the bench people to go
Heard from my friends: His friend in song got laid off jus a few days ago, they gave her 3 months pay. They just rephrase it as "mutual separation agreement", instead of retrenchment.
There is no company wide retrenchment going on in Accenture, but cutting excess manpower is happening

Is it ethical for client to request for team member photos before agreeing to grant us the projects?
It is very unfair to ugly people like me to get booked on projects if this is the case

Private sector clients many times get to select the people on the project that they want to on the basis “the Accenture team will have to work closely with this client that important client this and that”. So if you’re lucky you got nice and reasonable client they really select base on skills but on the other hand if the client is nasty they have all sorts of requirements or may select just purely base on how they like how you look (have heard and seen cases where client keep sending back the proposed team structure and requesting the acn team to change cvs)
