Abit sensitive to directly state the company, but many acn employees leave to similar tech roles, I left to a tech role as well.

If you’re hoping to jump from acn to better companies like FAANG very low chance, the kind of tech stuff that acn does is on implementation side of things, it’s a huge difference as compared to the kind of tech stuff google, Microsoft, AWS does for example. But many got salary increment lah to go to smaller companies but their roles also higher, or go to similar standard companies the pay about the same but not so stress lo.

Agreed, as acn is still a tier 2, upward mobility to MBB is defo a challenge, jumping to FAANG slimmer chance than MBB i reckon, unless you have solid software engineering fundamentals and even then its a long shot.
Unless you are looking at non tech roles in FAANG eg PM, Product team etc. Could be a diff story in that case. Marginally better but still.

anyone know what the CDTS (Corporate Development & Transaction Services) team at Accenture does?
Is considered client facing or internal role and need to fill timesheet?

Many of my batch mates left too after 2-4 years. Just imagine ot everyday till 10-11pm, even midnights too, interns are not spared from this either. Sooner or later, your body can’t take it one. Still remembered one of the analyst in my previous project left too as she felt her efforts weren’t recognised, she’s very hardworking and ot everyday till the night and have performed well too, but project didn’t promote her as not enough budget, like ridiculous sia each cycle only at most promote one or two people….the ot is that bad to the extent the team lead was still quite a nice person as a few analyst couldn’t wake up the next day for morning meeting due to the previous night ot and he understands (just imagine how bad the ot is).
So a tip to fresh grads considering a career with acn is that pay is an attractive factor, but you may also want to consider if this lifestyle and working environment is what you can take, what your body can take too. If you’re not happy with your job, your performance and experience will be affected too. Acn is not a bad company, but the ot and work culture is detrimental for majority.

Never 😂 that’s why gradually people start to leave. The burnout here is not like what you experience in school or intern, imagine experiencing burnout everyday if not majority of your days.

What everyone have been saying about the bad ot hours and all is actually true, I initially didn’t really believe because got so Kua Zhang meh work until so jialat. But after I got in, oh boy was it crazy….the TAP also a facade no proper training as what it markets, dk about now but at least last year when we joined no such trainings or whatsoever. Not only are the work hours overbearing, the clients also another headache. Flip flop here and there, last minute change things and as and when show face. We at Accenture supposedly be providing services to their problems (they come to us for solutions), but become “client want us do what, we do what”.
