Those with the title “strategy and consulting analyst” on LinkedIn are they under the consulting pods in TAP? Or those are a separate entry level analysts note linked to TAP? Cos majority of them promote after one year leh

it is under the TAP. whether they promote to SA after 1 year is not the problem thats p much a guaranteed. the issue is how fast do you get to consultant and if ppl burn out and move on before then. some dude in acn here for 3 years still not even close to 7k is also another issue.

Ya. The 3 yrs in Acn not close to 7k probably is diao at senior analyst 5k+ liao. 😊 if I were him I also want quit liao. Seeing people who joined later than you getting to CL9 before you.

If you think about it, the tap promises to promote those under it within one year to senior analysts, which means the bulk of analysts that acn hires, acn have to fork out money for all to be promoted every year.
Also quite weird, now people are promised to be promoted after one year but you still see many leaving.

Many senior analyst also leaving despite knowing can get to CL9 soon. Really is just burnt out and see no meaning. Idk.

Not necessarily. Once hit CL9 is a different game to get to CL8 associate manager. Fast can take 1.5 yrs, slow 3-4 years. Depend heavily on performance and if your MD like you or not.

Mainly the burnout i would say, I left too once I got promoted to senior analysts and many of my batch mates left too, the number going out is quite high. As much as how some may claim that 4K plus salary ot so much is normal, if you were to really compare with other firms paying similar level of pay, the ot rate in acn is really the top. Previously in my project there was one analyst who worked so hard and all but couldn’t get promoted in the first cycle as the project claim budget not enough and will promote in the next cycle but she left due to health reason. Like who can really survive ot everyday until 10-11pm plus, some days even past midnight. Interns weren’t spared either btw. Sooner or later your body can’t take it one.
To those who are looking to join acn, would advice to think twice. It’s not a bad firm, question is if it’s worth it.

Most ppl left due to burnout, I left too after being promoted to senior analyst. The pay may be decent as many pointed out, but the matter is the pay isn’t that comparable when you consider the amount of work hours devoted, it can be really taxing on your body and with demanding clients, it just doesn’t help. Many of my batch mates left too after 2-4 years. Just imagine ot everyday till 10-11pm, even midnights too, interns are not spared from this either. Sooner or later, your body can’t take it one. Still remembered one of the analyst in my previous project left too as she felt her efforts weren’t recognised, she’s very hardworking and ot everyday till the night and have performed well too, but project didn’t promote her as not enough budget, like ridiculous sia each cycle only at most promote one or two people….the ot is that bad to the extent the team lead was still quite a nice person as a few analyst couldn’t wake up the next day for morning meeting due to the previous night ot and he understands (just imagine how bad the ot is).
So a tip to fresh grads considering a career with acn is that pay is an attractive factor, but you may also want to consider if this lifestyle and working environment is what you can take, what your body can take too. If you’re not happy with your job, your performance and experience will be affected too. Acn is not a bad company, but the ot and work culture is detrimental for majority.

Depends on individual. Some go on to do masters, some leave to roles with better salary, some leave to similar paying firm but with better work life balance.
