Really up to them but I think usually your last company only. Check for employment period mostly. Not sure about salary because most companies don't disclose.

Well that is what happened to alot of the job hoppers as well. Job opportunities don’t always come right after bonus. Have to take a one off adjustment for the year. Your bonus in new company will be prorated too. Don’t be too affected by it. Recall why you want to leave in the first place.

So recently I applied for customs officer role. Went for interview and receive a appointment for medical check up. Does this means that more or less I gotten the job? First time applying for government sector role. So need some guidance here. Thanks in advance!

- Feb22 Applied job through gov@career
- 10 Mar22 got respond from the tenant attraction team for submission of Edu/birth/ic certs
- 23 Mar22 got an email from HR to arrange an interview with the interview panel
- 28 Mar22 interview done over of 30mins
- 30 Mar22 got an email from HR ask me fill in application form and CBS report.
As of today is a waiting game.

Anyone can advise what is the application form for, cause base on my understand usually is do up the application form before interview. 1st time applied for gov job.

Yes will affect. Public servant can't be financially embarrassed.

Upcoming fresh grad here. Last week I got a verbal offer from a ministry thru phone (Mentioned salary, benefits etc) and I sent an email to the HR to accept it. I was then asked to fill in some referee documents, and they mentioned they would take note of my start date and get back to me. It's been a week but there has not been any formal documents/ official appointment letter sent to me. A week after, I received a call from another ministry saying I was accepted and needed a referee check before offering. Should I proceed with the latter despite verbal acceptance of the former? Will there be any repercussions to rejecting a verbal offer acceptance?
