just wondering, are the positions that you interviewed for perm or contract based?

it seems like in recent years, hiring by public sector is mostly contract based, so there is probably a high risk of not getting emplaced or even renewed
but this also depends on your role/position of course

Now got new direction for manpower planning framework. With ChatGPT they believe at the top AI can help solve most of civil service work. So they keep cutting headcount to force productivity.
Contract is because they have no clue how much they can cut, but if they realize that people have been very productive, then those on contract won't be renewed. Either you be productive to keep your job, causing others to lose theirs, or everyone is unproductive and everyone gets to keep their job.

Hi all, Is anyone working in Vital (MOF) and knows the hiring process?
I recently had an interview with them 2-3 weeks back. Received an email from HR 1 week after the interview mentioning that they were keen and told me to alert my referees that they would be doing a reference check with them. Confirmed with my previous manager that the reference check is done and the HR side confirmed they received the reply from her last Friday as well. In the email HR also stated that they are still doing the relevant checks and in the midst of processing my application. Will inform me of the outcome when ready. May I know if there is a chance of a job offer and will there be a rough estimated timeline will getting back to me?
Thank you.
