No, it's not any of the tech related SB you mentioned. But a stat board under MCI that is not IMDA.
2, What other stuff do they spend it on?
3, Unsuccessful search? When I went for the interview end Jan I was informed that I would not be able to start immediately as security clearance would take 3 weeks to process. Both my career coach and I thought that was a good sign coming from the hiring managers. I really believe that I stand a good chance securing the temp job leh.
Strangely, despite informing me of the clearance process, they did not ask me to fill in any forms, or G50 form to initiate the clearance. I was wondering how the heck does govt track my background when I did not furnish any details of my family members to the hiring managers. Good thing I check in with them, if not I'll still be in the dark.

Maybe is cos u ask HR too much questions. my friend also like this, ask too much then HR not happy choose another candidate instead.

if its temp staff, the clearance lvl usually dont need to go super high and ought to have a faster turn around time iirc
at least that's from my personal experience from previous temp stints at other govt agencies
if it's the so-called sensitive ministries/ SBs such as MINDEF, MHA etc, clearance may well take longer
and your U-turn is not down to a failed security clearance
rather is due to hiring team's change of heart
whilst equally shitty, it is less painful to some extent.

HR not even involved during the interview. The questions I asked were pretty standard, and not too overwhelming.
I probed my recruitment agency about it. They said that apart from me, they also sent a few resumes for hiring managers to view, but they were not shortlisted, meaning they were totally rejected. Only mine was shortlisted for the interview. Coupled with the hiring manager's directives that I won't be able to start immediately due to clearance taking up to 3 weeks, suffice to say that more or less I have secured the role right from the get go.
The director's answer when I checked in with him implies that the U-turn is not due to other candidacy.

How long does temp staff clearance usually take?
Do you need to fill in any forms for clearance or hiring managers fill in the gaps for you? That is another thing I find weird in my situation. I didn't fill any forms for the clearance.
The SB that I applied is under communications and information. Not as sensitive as MINDEF and MHA, but clearly sensitive enough for 3 weeks clearance just for temp staff - information is power.
Change of heart is more painful as I also rejected a media production gig worth $1750 for 7 days of filming in favour of the high possibility of starting the job in march. I'm oscillating between anger and grief for the past few days

Does anyone know why some PS/CS vacancies are posted on Careers@Gov, and others are posted on their respective organization websites instead?
Also, are all public sector jobs, e.g. stat board or others, automatically eligible for the mid-year and end-year bonus? How to know whether this will be included in your package?

Will share my experience here.
Applied for one stat board and one ministry during start of december. Interviews were arranged on the 2nd last week of december.
The stat board got back that they were keen to proceed further at end of december. Took another 3 weeks for them to came up with the verbal offer. In the end, i did not accept the offer.
There are no updates from the ministry all these while. Received a call from them for the verbal offer exactly 2 months later. I guess i am not the first choice candidate. I didnt accept the offer either.

You can always check with the HR during the verbal offer stage. Anyway, they like to compare annual packages, so there are no aws etc it means its already included in basic salary.

Career@gov Re application
Does anyone know the process of re-application? Applied under DEI for CNB, rejected (i think because of my BMI), but now my BMI has gone back and thus want to re apply but under the website it says I have already applied, anyone knows is there anyway to re-apply the same job again?
