Hello! If the HR asked me to submit further documents after I have went through the interview, does it mean they are thinking of offering me the job but just left with background checks?

Not necessarily, could just be part of that stage, along medical. After final interview is just waiting game alr.

Hello. Before an interview, HR asked me for my expected pay. But since it was an optional qn and I’m a fresh grad, I ignored it. A few days after my interview, HR again asked for my expected pay. Does it mean anything/ is it a positive sign?

Understand that now 1 year or 2 year contracts are the norm in public service. But what are the chances of getting a perm emplacement after the contract ends?

It depends on the role, but I would say emplacement is the norm rather than the exception. No one goes out to hire a policy/comms/HR (just examples) person with the aim of letting the person go after 1 or 2 years right? But there are some exceptions, especially roles that have been created specific for COVID. Then there is the chance that they will let these contracts lapse as the role becomes redundant when COVID becomes endemic.

Probably just an administrative process, no need to overthink it. Your timeline looks pretty reasonable already. Good luck!

Thanks… will just wait for it. If employ is good news, if not will just move on. 😊

Default Ref check

I have both public and private experiences. They say they will do ref check with my current and previous companies. How many ref checks do they do and what do they check?
