Q: Big4 - Yearly salary increment

Hi guys, I am here show u my job journey

2006: Graduated from UTAR and joined big 4 KL as A1
2008: Promoted to S1
2009: Moved to big 4 Singapore as S2
2011: Promote to manager
2015: promote to senior manager
2020: promote to partner

My advice to everyone is to work hard, make ur boss happy. Boss happy = you happy. Big 4 is good and will never forget ur hard work! I stay all the way and get promoted and earn good money, better than most of my Singaporean friends who go commercial be accountant. I think if u wan good life good car good condo u shld stay in big 4 all the way and strive to become partner. Ignore what ppl say what very low chance cannot make it, as long as u show grit determination and hard work, u can success and reach ur goal one day

LOL so funny this post, this guy took 4 years to promote to SM. means he stuck before. HAHAHAHAH. you'd think he'd be able to make partner from SM in 5 years?

Be partner means cannot relax. Its the most stressful out of all ranks because
1) Your name is on the audit report so there is chance of being sued
2) You also incharge of interviews (you either conduct the interview or u approve them) so manpower is your taiji
3) You have to source for new clients, network, attend seminars and raise audit fee. If you lose client is your taiji

All in all, you work all the way up, yet u can't shack leg once u are at the top. It actually gets worst. Even the SME bosses out there have better life than you.

1) malaysian wont have the capital to buy in. If they are born rich, than no need work so hard in big 4 liao
2) malaysian wont have the network in local context to bring in clients
3) malaysian cant speak proper english to carry out presentation or negotiations to close deals


Of course there are outliers, but the likelihood of a singaporean becoming partner is much higher
